I'm not sure it's fair to criticize a book you haven't read. When writing a biography, you can't ignore the unsavory parts. As for Bruce Watson - he was Stuart's childhood and lifelong friend, not just a band mate.

And I said that, Victor. “ Not having read Rowley’s book, maybe it’s unfair of me to criticize him for writing it. Adamson was a rare talent and maybe the book really does celebrate his recordings and life, as well as give us the gory details about how it ended. Maybe it’s a story that needed to be told but somehow, I doubt it.” Just because you CAN tell the story doesn’t mean you should. I certainly don’t think Bruce had any ill will. But wouldn’t it have been ok for him to say “Hey, Stuart and I made some great albums. And I miss him.”
