Bravo for sharing Bruce’s songs with your AP Literature class! I had a college professor who let me write a paper relating the lyrics of “Growin’ Up” to Bruce’s childhood experiences.
I had to lend the professor a cassette tape of the BITUSA album so he could listen to the song, and was impressed when he returned it with a comment that he hadn’t realized that BITUSA was actually a protest song about a Vietnam War veteran.

To me, every song is a masterpiece. Rosalita was my high school anthem.

Agree completely. From the first time I heard it way back then until now, thought yhe same thing - a perfect album side.
